The Perfect Landscape Requires Year Round Maintenance. We’re Here to Help.

Summer Alerts

  • Brown patch disease is active during the summer causing devastation to tall fescue lawns. Ask about our fungicide program.

  • Foliar feeding insects are active and feeding on plant material causing severe injury to trees and shrubs. Ask how our plant health program can help you protect your trees and shrubs from these pests.

  • Lookout for spider mites in evergreens and boxwoods.

  • Check the underside of leaves on crape myrtles for aphids

  • Shake your gardenias and laurels to check for whiteflies.

  • Keep Japanese beetles from feeding on knockout roses, crape myrtles and cherry trees. Foliar sprays are the best method in fighting the beetle problems.

  • Avoid using beetle traps in your lawn. They only attract more attention.

  • Check for signs of drought stress in your lawn.

  • Early signs are usually a gray tint across the entire lawn

  • Dried, curled up leaf blades is another good indication.

  • See our section on water requirements for fescue, Bermuda and Zoysia lawns.

  • Crabgrass is up and actively growing. Take care of it while the plant is small. About the size of a softball.

  • Areas of excessive moisture and bare areas of your lawn will give way to nutsedge. Do not pull the nutsedge out of the ground. It is best controlled using selective herbicides. Ask how we can help with that.

  • Foliar Funguses are very active during the summer months.  Normally very visible lesions are noticed on the leafs.

What They're Saying

"I really appreciated the fact that Jimmy offered up an alternative and it turned out to a much better idea. When he and his crew came out, they were very conscientious about their work. They showed up when they said that they would and were completed with the job when they said they would. We liked their work so well that we hired them to do a major project in the front yard. I would recommend JT’s Landscaping to anyone."
